Cross-platform sharing in the Planet Zoo 2 Frontier Workshop
The Planet Zoo 2 Frontier Workshop is unified across PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, so a player on PS5 can download a blueprint uploaded by a player on Steam without any cross-platform hack. The same Frontier Workshop account is used across the supported platforms, so a single subscription and a single uploaded creation carry across PC and console versions of the game. Two cross-platform notes: Xbox Play Anywhere is supported for the Xbox/PC Microsoft Store version, so a single purchase covers both Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC with saves following between the two; and cross-platform content sharing is one-way. Players on console can browse and download what players on PC have uploaded, and vice versa. There is no live multiplayer behind the workshop, so the download step is always async.
Frontier Workshop versus Franchise animal trading
The Planet Zoo 2 Frontier Workshop is a separate community-sharing system for uploading and downloading parks and blueprints cross-platform, distinct from the animal trading in Franchise mode. Frontier Workshop is for builds, blueprints, and scenery pieces; Franchise mode is for the asynchronous animal marketplace. Players use both at the same time without conflict, because uploads and downloads do not change the player-owned animal stock or the Franchise Animal Storage cap.
