Planet Zoo 2 guest income streams
- Admission tickets
- Base fee paid at the entrance; raised by zoo reputation and lowered by overcrowding.
- Donations
- Driven by education delivery, scenery, and welfare. Donation bins and the optional Prospering welfare state for each species lift donation rates.
- Souvenirs
- Sold at gift shops; the souvenir income is sensitive to guest happiness and education impact.
- Marketing
- Marketing campaigns raise attendance, but higher attendance raises queues, so marketing must be balanced against amenity coverage.
Per-guest needs in Planet Zoo 2
Each Planet Zoo 2 guest tracks eight needs: hunger, thirst, energy, happiness, restroom, education, scenery, and queue length. Addressing each need has a corresponding amenity or staff role. Hunger and thirst: food and drink stalls from Zoo Facilities (6), placed near habitats and seating. Energy and happiness: scenery, education delivery, benches, and the optional Prospering state on welfare. Restroom: restroom buildings from Zoo Facilities (6), placed near queue exits and food courts. Education: educator staff, education speakers, education boards, webcams, guided tours, and donation bins. Scenery: scenery themes, themed buildings, and education impact from the same sources. Queue length: amenity placement near queue exits, ATMs, and restroom buildings. The per-guest needs inform which amenities the player should prioritise in the build order.
Amenities from the Zoo Facilities menu in Planet Zoo 2
The Zoo Facilities menu (6) is the source for the amenity buildings that satisfy the per-guest needs. Food stalls, drink stalls, restaurants, restrooms, ATMs, benches, gift shops, and donation bins are all placed from this menu. The placement principles are: place amenities near queue exits and habitat viewpoints; place restrooms in pairs so a single break doesn't collapse the queue; place food and drink stalls near seating areas so guests eat in shaded, scenic spots; and place ATMs near the entrance and near the gift shops. Education amenities are placed from the Education tab on the staff menu and from the Education facilities in Zoo Facilities (6); webcams, guided tour markers, and education speakers are the highest-impact options.
Staff that keep the guest loop moving in Planet Zoo 2
Educators, security, and entertainers are the staff roles that keep the Planet Zoo 2 guest loop moving. Educators deliver education talks at viewpoints and on guided tours; their talks raise Guest Education in the 5-Star Zoo Reputation bar. Security guards patrol the guest paths and react to incidents. Entertainers run scheduled performances and lift guest happiness during the show window. The same staff routing rules as for keepers apply: short Work Zones, overlapping habitats and amenities, and pay that matches the workload. Staff quit when the zone is too large or the pay is too low, and a staff collapse cuts education delivery and queue times together.
