- Welfare check on every species inside the zoo. Includes barrier grade, height, terrain, water depth or flyable area, temperature, cleanliness, and the optional Prospering state per species.

- Tracks the player's energy and water networks, the conservation record, and the breeding programme. Recycling and renewable energy sources lift the bar.

The build order that lifts the Planet Zoo 2 5-Star bar starts with welfare and finishes with scenery. Welfare first: lay the barrier loop, add per-species terrain, water, and temperature, and place enrichment. A green welfare check is the largest single lever on the bar. Conservation second: complete the conservation record and link it to breeding programmes and Wildlife Reserves. Education third: add educators, education speakers, donation bins, and guided tours. Education is the cheapest multiplier on the bar because the staff and the bins are inexpensive compared to welfare and scenery. Welfare Prospering state and the rating in Planet Zoo 2
The optional Prospering state is a higher welfare tier that requires research into the species' wild needs. The Prospering state rewards longer lifespans, higher guest donations, and stronger education impact. The research itself counts toward the 39 achievements under the Research milestone. Lifting species into the Prospering state is the single highest-leverage welfare action because it adds welfare, donations, and education impact at the same time.
